If you need help with Key #1, Talking and Listening…
Although there are many excellent books on communication, we have found Marshall Rosenberg’s teaching of nonviolent communication to be one of the most user-friendly. This model is excellent for children, teens, couples, and families. What made this resource even more special is that Don and I participated in a workshop with Marshall in the early 1980’s and loved it. Marshall has since been a regular presenter at Santa Barbara’s Adult Education. He arrived with guitar and puppets, telling stories through song and experience. If you like books, check out this powerful set of tools to benefit your family and all of your relationships by reading and practicing Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life. Marshall is also a man with an inspiring vision to create a more loving, peaceful world by changing not only the way that we communicate but also the way that we think and act towards others.
